8th Grade Graduation - Parent Volunteers Needed!

The last day of school will be here before we know it. It's time to start thinking  about the 2018 8th grade graduation (Movin On), and we need parents of 6th, 7th, and 8th graders to help! There are many opportunities for you to make this a special day for our 8th grade students.

Graduation begins with a ceremony in the morning at Edgewood High School (our school does not have enough space). The ceremony is followed by lunch  and dance at Hamilton, which ends at the end of the school day. We need volunteers for the following:

  • Decorations (dance and Edgewood)
  • Food coordination
  • Set up at Edgewood

- Video/photos of students for ceremony at Edgewood

  • Set up at dance
  • Chaperone dance
  • Clean up after lunch and dance
  • Music
  • Fundraising
  • Photos
  • Event programs (create and distribute at Edgewood) Plus other items that will come up along the way!

We will be creating a Movin On committee. We need folks who can sit on the committee and folks who can help but do not want/cannot be a part of the committee. If you are interested in helping please send an email to Hannah Renfro at renfro.hannah@gmail.com.

Please include in your email (1) what you would like to help with and (2) whether you are interested in sitting on the committee (this will involve participating in the meetings and, as needed, coordinating volunteers helping with that task).
